How to book your place

BE SURE NOT TO MISS OUT ON A PLACE AT THE PATHFINDER SUMMIT. It sounds a cliché so say that places are limited, but due to the size of the Kasbah, and in order to ensure the Summit maintains a personal feel, I only accept a relatively small number of bookings.

The Pathfinder Summit will take place in March 2009, commencing on a Friday and ending the following Monday. We will confirm the exact dates shortly.

The cost per person is £3,500. This includes:
• Organised transfer from Marrakech to the Kasbah du Toubkal
• Full accommodation, meals and refreshments during the Pathfinder
Summit (from Friday evening supper through to and including
  lunch on Monday)
• Organised transfer back to Marrakech

To enquire about dates and to book your place please call
+44 845 310 0114 or email pathfindersummit@ihd.co.uk

Travel to Marrakech, accommodation in Marrakech on Monday night and travel home from Marrakech are not included and should be arranged independently. Please see below for details that will help with this.

MARRAKECH

Monday evening in Marrakech
On the Monday, the formal event will close mid-afternoon at the Kasbah. We will stroll down the hill to waiting transport that will drive us back through the mountains to Marrakech.

Make the best of the evening by bustling your way through the heady and exotic atmosphere of the old Souk. Bargaining for fabrics, earthenware and, of course, carpets is one of the great experiences of North Africa.

At dusk, the Djamaa El Fna square literally bursts into mediaeval life. Snake charmers, storytellers, spice merchants and henna artists all compete for your attention, among the countless food stalls that spring up from nowhere serving grills, salads, couscous, traditional meat or vegetable tagines, as well as some very local delicacies for the highly adventurous and not too squeamish carnivores amongst you. There are numerous quality restaurants within a few minutes’ walk of the square for the less adventurous and those with sensitive digestion!

Staying in Marrakech
The best way to book a single night’s accommodation in Marrakech is to make contact directly with the hotel or Riad.

Unless you are determined to stay at one of Marrakech’s world-famous, extraordinarily luxurious hotels such as La Sultana, we highly recommend that you stay in one of Marrakech’s famous Riads: private houses traditionally built round an open courtyard.

The following Riads have an excellent reputation:

Riad Kaiss
Dar El Assafir
Jardins de la Medina
Riad Kniz
